ronald e. hirschberg, dvm

Dr. Hirschberg is the hospital director of Brockton Animal Hospital. He came to the hospital after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and has been here for 28 years. During his tenure, Dr. Hirschberg has developed the facility into a full service hospital emphasizing surgery as well as medicine. His areas of interest include orthopedics, ophthalmology, and dermatology.

Dr. Hirschberg takes his scientific interest beyond the hospital, and for the past 10 years he has been a mentor for high school AP Biology students.

Outside the hospital Dr. Hirschberg enjoys sailing, rock climbing and tinkering with old sports cars.

  mark d. goldberg, dvm

Dr. Goldberg has been practicing veterinary medicine at Brockton Animal Hospital for the past 14 years, participating in all aspects of medicine and surgery. He came to Brockton Animal Hospital after practicing at a number of small animal practices in Eastern Massachusetts. Dr. Goldberg is a graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science, and completed an internship at Cornell University. His areas of interest include internal medicine, cardiology, and oncology.

Dr Goldberg shares his veterinary interest with the community by participating in high school shadow and volunteer programs for students interested in veterinary medicine.

In his free time Dr. Goldberg enjoys cooking, jazz, world music, and theatre.

     
scott m. huffenus, dvm

Dr. Huffenus has been a member of the medical team at Brockton Animal Hospital for the past 7 years, first as a veterinary technician and then as veterinarian. His experience as both technician and doctor gives him an in-depth understanding of both the medical and comfort needs of his patients. Dr. Huffenus is a graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. His areas of interest are cardiology, surgery and behavioral medicine.

Outside of the hospital Dr. Huffenus is a lab instructor in Gap Junction, a program that introduces elementary school students to science and medicine. Dr. Huffenus’s diversions from the world of science and medicine include: drums, he plays many styles including African, South American and jazz; golf; running; and sailing.
