You may see a new face at the Brockton Animal Hospital the next time you visit.  Dr. Lorenza Malaguti has joined the professional staff this week in the capacity of medical and surgical practitioner.  We are very fortunate to have Dr. Malaguti join us as an associate allowing us to more easily schedule appointments, perform surgical and dental procedures as well as enabling the continuation of our clinical research in the field of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).

Dr. Malaguti was born in Italy and emigrated to Canada when she was ten years old.  She grew up there and attended McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.  Dr. “L” received her formal veterinary education at St George’s University in the West Indies before completing her clinical training at Cornell University in the US.  Her veterinary interests vary widely including surgery, radiolgy, physical therapy and nutrition.  Dr. Malaguti feels strongly that  the most overlooked area in veterinary medicine is that of dietary modification in the presence of disease.  We, at the Brockton Animal Hospital have always emphasized the importance of nutrition and weight management in promoting health for our patients. It is our intent that Dr. Lorenza will take the nutritional treatment of disease several steps forward.  Outside of the hospital Dr. Malaguti enjoys hiking, camping, surfing and kite boarding.
