I am sure that many of you who have visited our office during the last year or so have noticed that often someone is “trying out” for the veterinary position that has been open for quite a while. We employ an involved interview process including cover letter request, resume submission, additional essays, “meet and greet” interview, working interview and finally a week (minimum) working within our practice to get a more complete picture for both us and the candidate. It is a rigorous procedure, to be sure, but one that is necessary for us to find the right person who offers the commitment, perseverance and compassion that you have come to expect from everyone at the Brockton Animal Hospital. I am very pleased that Dr. Kate Vezza, soon to be a graduate of the Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine, will be joining us part time during the next couple of months and full time after graduation. Dr. Vezza is a Maryland native with Massachusetts ties. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Connecticut, Magna Cum Laude, and has distinguished herself while attending Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been involved in a feral cat spay and neuter program, pet loss hotline and has worked in several veterinary facilities before and during her education. She loves the outdoors (no surprise if she works here) and was a member of the marching band at University of Connecticut for four years. I’m sure you will find her bright, attentive to your pet’s needs and very personable. Dr. Vezza’s addition should make it considerably easier to schedule appointments as it will greatly expand our ability to serve. We hope you will all welcome Dr. Vezza to our community and enjoy her presence. Thank you for supporting us and hanging in there during this process.
